Museum Selection - “Painting starts where words end…”
With a high degree of competence and thoroughness, SCHIPPER Arts & Crafts converted all motifs of the “Renowned Painters” series into the Painting by Numbers technique. It is a highlight for every hobby painter to repaint and recreate these precious originals.
The motif: “The Kiss”
“The Kiss” by Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) is a section from a painting. The original measures 180 x 180 cm and was painted from 1907 to 1908. This masterpiece is one of the most important paintings of Jugendstil (Art Nouveau), a genre dating from the turn of the century, which was decisively influenced by Klimt. In the painting, young lovers, intimately entwined, are depicted. The woman’s head is bent backwards and, with her eyes closed, her right arm lays seductively on his shoulder.
